Stopped 3 time by the same train ...

While riding to work along 127 South, I was stopped at 3 rail road crossings ... all for the same MBTA Commuter Rail Train going from Rockport to North Station, Boston.

Ride from Gloucester to Burlington

A very nice ride  ... http://goo.gl/maps/HGDTJ   42 miles or so (with a stop at the gym along the way). The old fashion way (before RT 128 ... mostly Routes 127, 62, and a bit of 3A in Burlington).

The Metro is Up and Running

Fresh gas, new battery, and a hard run around the block was all it took !

Nice North Shore Loop

A nice 130 mile loop on backroads featuring Cape Ann and the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge on Plum Island in Newbury, MA.

They are really well set up to do inspections. Hours are 7AM to 4PM ... + Saturdays !

Back in the saddle ... 2012 Season

Rode to work today. Started the season at 23072 miles on the odometer. The battery was fully charged, and the engine kicked over and purred on the first press of the starter switch. Snow on non road surfaces ... but the streets are clear and dry.

It promises to be a 65 deg day. But I'm sure winter will try to come back a few more times.
